Leanpay security codes: 8-digit verification code, 6-digit personal security code (PIN), and 4-digit code (OTP)

To ensure the proper functioning of services and to ensure the security of consumers' data, Leanpay takes care, among other things, of using a few different passwords and codes:

(Numbers and letters; it does not matter whether lowercase or uppercase letters are used)

 

received the code by SMS on my phone number registered with Leanpay after my first use of the payment with Leanpay in the online store.

 

This code is used to identify me before you take over the purchase, which I first used Leanpay for. I must do this procedure in person, and I must show the delivery person/ the seller with:

  • valid identity document issued by the Republic of Slovenia, and
  • can't forget or stock the code with this code because without it, I won't be able to complete the purchase.

For further purchases and payments with Leanpay (after I was successfully identified at the first purchase), I no longer need this code, and I will no longer receive it on SMS. If I first used Leanpay to buy in a physical store, no code was required.

 

6-digit personal security code

 

(Numbers only)

 

(also "PIN" - personal identification number)

 

I define this code as a user myself and I must remember it.

The 6-digit personal security code is used to validate important steps and signatures on Leanpay services and may not be shared with other people, otherwise, I am compromising the security of my data.

Help:

  • If I forget the code, I click on the Leanpay app on the step where I need this code, on the "Forgot the code?" button.
  • To specify a new 6-digit personal security code in the app, I need to know my key information and enter it (if required by the on-screen instructions) into the app.

 

4-digit one-digit confirmation code

 

(Numbers only)

 

(also "OTP" - one-time password)

 

This code is different every time; Leanpay sends it by SMS every time I log into the system as a user with my phone number, confirming that I have a phone number with me.

Help:

  • If I entered the wrong code, I could repeat the process of signing into the app from the beginning and receive a new 4-digit code.
  • If I do not receive the code on SMS despite several attempts, I check my smartphone's settings and reset it (turn it off and turn it on) if necessary to properly connect to the mobile network.
