What to do if the buyer provided false information when filling out the application?
As a vendor, I adhere to the principle that entering (accurate, complete, and true) data is the responsibility of the buyer who applies to installment payment. The Leanpay service helps me with this because it works in such a way that the customer simply makes all the entries himself, on his smartphone.
As a seller, I am only responsible for carefully verifying the buyer's identity and (in the physical store) entering data on the buyer's ID document (I also enter basic data, which the buyer must check and confirm on his device).
Only if, as a vendor, I help the buyer enter personal or financial data, or enter them on behalf of the buyer, can I be jointly responsible for input errors.
If Leanpay finds untrue or inaccurate personal or financial information in the credit application, Leanpay has the right to withdraw from the credit agreement, which may cause inconvenience and potentially additional costs.
